A Kick-Off

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

I know that my blog has been sitting here unattended and all alone for quite some time. I’ve been busy building sites, editing videos, and various other things that are too boring to write about in a short blog post.

I used to feel obligated to have a blog, and I think that might be part of the reason behind my hesitancy in the first place. Recently though, I have found much comfort, support, and opportunities to learn through blogs that were started by people just like me. I want to not only join the conversation about technology in a ministry environment, but maybe something along the way will help someone solve a problem or learn something new.

So, that being said, what better way to get this thing started than to offer a freebie! Last month at Wheatland Salem Church, we revisited what it means to enter into a covenant with each other and God. With the state of the church’s finances, and the Christmas season upon us, we needed to act fast. We designed graphics, filmed and edited a thirty minute video, and made multiple print pieces. The following motion loop was produced during the frenzy. We would like to offer it for free, and since we don’t have a blog or a good place to post things like this for the church, I’m offering it here. You can see a preview below.

Please note that my site is still not entirely finished yet, I’m still working on it here and there, but the core functionality is intact, and I will continue to improve the site to make your experience better.
